Welcome to our paradise called Rancho Palos Verdes. This is an amazing City, and I am honored to be a longtime public servant for the community. Our family moved to RPV from Arlington, Virginia, in 1985. My children were raised here, and I taught in all three Peninsula high schools. This is my third term on the City Council, having served first from 1992-1995, and the Planning Commission before that. Twice Mayor, twice mother, I share our values of maintaining our semi-rural environment amid what has evolved into a world class resort community. We are blessed, indeed, to live along the seven and a half miles of spectacular, rocky coastline. The more congested Los Angeles becomes, the more others want to break away and come to the coast. That presents new challenges for our community; challenges which I am committed to face in order to maintain a safe and sound city, so that its ambiance and character can be preserved for generations to come.
