[ARCHIVED] Christmas Tree Recycling

Christmas tree-recycling (400x250).jpg

The City recycles Christmas trees as part of its regular green waste recycling program. No special arrangements are needed. Simply leave your Christmas tree at the curb on your regular collection day (remove the base, ornaments, tinsel and garland first) between December 26th and January 15th. There’s no need to cut the tree into smaller pieces, unless it is over 7 feet tall. Flocked trees are acceptable for recycling.

If you live in a multi-family complex, ask your management company or homeowners’ association for the designated tree drop-off location. This location is typically in the garage area or near the recycling bins.

For additional information, please contact the Public Works Department at (310) 544-5252 or publicworks@rpvca.gov.
