City Hall will be closed for winter holiday break from December 23-January 1 and will reopen on January 2. Emergencies should be reported by calling 9-1-1.

Building and Safety will provide limited building inspections on December 23, 24, 30 and 31. Inspection requests may be called in to 310-544-5279 or submitted electronically on the City website.
Construction is prohibited on December 25 (Christmas Day) and January 1 (New Year's Day) unless a Special Construction Permit is approved by the Director of Community Development. Special Construction Permits must be requested at least 48 hours before any such work is to begin. Permit details and application requirements (PDF) are available on the City website.

There will be no trash collection on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, and a one-day delay for the remainder of each week for all routes. There will be no street sweeping on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, and the fourth and first Wednesday routes will be performed on December 27 and December 31, respectively.
Parks (except for Abalone Cove Park and all park buildings) will be open on Christmas Day and New Year's Day for their regular hours.
