Due to heavy surf expected to affect south-facing beaches this weekend, the City has closed Inspiration Point, Sacred Cove and Portuguese Point at Abalone Cove Shoreline Park until sunset on Sunday, June 26th. At this time, the beach near the lifeguard station and Portuguese Bend Nursery School remains open. Beach goers are asked to comply with posted closure signs and the instructions of public safety personnel and City Recreation & Parks Staff.
