Park visitors and nearby residents should be aware that the Los Angeles County Fire Department will be using the helipad at Point Vicente Park/Civic Center on Wednesday, June 24th, Thursday, June 25th and Friday, June 26th for a training exercise. The exercise will involve a helicopter landing and taking off intermittently from the helipad on each of the three days during daylight hours. In addition, several fire trucks will be parked in the area surrounding the helipad during the exercise. Visitors and residents should not be alarmed by this activity.
