We believe that the smoke and smoky odor that many residents are reporting are from the "Canyon Fire 2" in Anaheim Hills. Strong Santa Ana winds are blowing this smoke to the west. At this time, we are not aware of any fire(s) on the Palos Verdes Peninsula.
The South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) advises that if you can see and/or smell smoke, everyone should avoid vigorous exertion and limit outdoor activity.
