[ARCHIVED] Coastal Clean-Up Day on September 15th

Tide pools at Abalone Cove

On Saturday morning, September 15th at 9:00 AM, hundreds of volunteers, including Los Serenos de Point Vicente docents and members of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, will participate in a beach cleanup at Abalone Cove Beach.

Volunteers pick up trash and recyclables, as well as hundreds of pounds of invasive ice plant from the cliff side. This annual coastal cleanup day is much more than a day of cleaning one beach; people all over California and the world pitch in to help in the beautification of oceans and waterways on this day.

For additional information, please contact the Recreation & Parks Department at (310) 544-5260 or volunteer@rpvca.gov.
