[ARCHIVED] Gas-Powered Weed & Debris Blowers Prohibited Starting January 1st

Beginning January 1, 2019, the use of gas-powered weed and debris blowers will be prohibited in all residential neighborhoods in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes, pursuant to Rancho Palos Verdes Municipal Code Section 8.16 (Ordinance No. 611).  Only standard electric-powered blowers—such as hand-held, corded, and cordless—will be allowed.  The City also prohibits any person from using a blower to blow cuttings, refuse, or debris onto a neighboring property or into a street, gutter, or drain.  Violators may be subject to penalty fines.

  • Mon. – Fri.:  8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Sat.: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Sun. or Legal Holidays: Not permitted
