[ARCHIVED] Volunteers Needed! Calling all Fiber Artists!

Volunteers Needed! Calling all Fiber Artists!!

The Los Serenos Puppet Show Program, in preparation for next year’s “Whale of a Day” celebration, is making gray whale finger puppets to encourage participation at the puppet show event. (The finger puppets will be offered to children attending the show, for a donation.)

But we need the following to maximize our meager budget:

-People who knit, crochet, sew, or craft, or want to learn. Diagrams and instruction will be given for all items to be made.

-Unused yarn (worsted or DK), knitting needles (size 3,4,5) or other knitting or crocheting supplies.

-If you have a favorite pair of sharp scissors please bring them along to use (and not donate).

If you are willing to help with the knitting/crocheting/sewing/crafting, we’d like to meet you! Our first meeting is Thursday, August 29 at 2:30, at

Point Vicente Interpretive Center, 31501 Palos Verdes Drive West, RPV, in the Sunset Room.

We can work together, chat, have a cup of coffee or tea and a cookie, and make some whales.

See you there!
