[ARCHIVED] Sister City One-Year Anniversary Celebration August 4

Anniversary Social Media

Join us August 4 at 5 p.m. for a celebration marking the one-year anniversary of the formation of the sister city partnership between Rancho Palos Verdes and Sakura City, Japan.

This hybrid in-person/virtual event will bring together both cities with guest speakers, dance performances, cultural exchange videos, the unveiling of a sister city directional sign at RPV City Hall, and the presentation of a Japanese commemorative stamp collection.

The celebration will be held virtually and at Rancho Palos Verdes City Hall with a limited number of in-person attendees.

Watch live via Zoom at ow.ly/YyvX50FwYAr or enter Meeting ID 924 7339 8242 (passcode 90275). If you would like to attend in person, please contact Enyssa Momoli at 310-544-5274.

Building on a bond established 20 years ago by middle school students, Rancho Palos Verdes and Sakura City made their cross-cultural friendship official by becoming sister cities in August 2020. Learn more at rpvca.gov/sistercity
