The City of Rancho Palos Verdes Draft Housing Element is now available!
All California cities are required to adopt a comprehensive General Plan to guide land-use planning decisions. The Housing Element is a key component that provides an analysis of a community’s housing needs for all income levels and strategies to respond to provide for those housing needs.
The Rancho Palos Verdes Draft Housing Element (PDF) outlines ways that the City can meet its state-required 6th Cycle Regional Housing Needs Assessment allocation of accommodating 647 housing units (including 8 units carried over from the 5th Cycle) in various income levels for the next planning period of 2021-2029.
The Draft Housing Element will go before the Planning Commission on October 12 before it is considered for adoption by the City Council on October 19. Both meetings will be held at 7 p.m. in McTaggart Hall at Fred Hesse Jr. Community Park, livestreamed on the City website and televised on RPVtv Cox 33/Frontier FiOS 38.
