[ARCHIVED] City Hall Closed on Memorial Day

Memorial Day

City Hall will be closed to the public on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, but staffed City parks will be open for their regular posted hours.

There will be no trash/recycling collection on Memorial Day, and a one-day delay for collections in all neighborhoods for the remainder of the week.
Please obtain a Special Construction Permit by Friday, May 27 if you're planning to do construction work on the holiday. The permit application is available at
Please note that minor repairs, maintenance and landscaping activities (i.e., work that does not otherwise require a building permit) are not prohibited on legal holidays. For additional information, please contact the Community Development Department at 310-544-5228 or
