[ARCHIVED] Be Part of RPV’s Youth Advisory Committee

Be Part of RPV's Youth Advisory Committee. Open to grades 7-12. Must live in RPV. Apply by 8/20.

The City of Rancho Palos Verdes is accepting applications to fill four vacancies on the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC). The YAC was formed in 2023 to empower and engage youth in our community, providing an opportunity for young residents to have their voices heard and actively contribute to shaping the future of our City.

The YAC is scheduled to resume meeting monthly starting in late September 2024. The committee is open to youths in grades 7-12 who are also residents of Rancho Palos Verdes. Applicants must have written parental consent.

The deadline for applications to be filed with the City Clerk’s Office is 5:30 p.m. on August 20, 2024. If you are selected for an interview, Staff will reach out to schedule an interview time.  To apply, please email the City Clerk’s Office at cityclerk@rpvca.gov.

If you are a person with a disability and need an accommodation to participate in programs, services, activities and meetings, contact the City's ADA Coordinator/Risk Manager at 424-327-3982, adarequests@rpvca.gov, 30940 Hawthorne Blvd., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275, at least 48 hours in advance to request an auxiliary aid or accommodation.
