Starting Monday, August 1st, the City of Rancho Palos Verdes is increasing the street sweeping frequency for its residential streets from once-a-month to twice-a-month. A new introductory sweeping schedule for a one-month “test run” will be implemented, and some neighborhoods will experience schedule changes. The “test run” should allow Staff and CleanStreet (the City’s new sweeping contractor) time to properly evaluate the preliminary twice-monthly sweeping schedule and the conditions of the roads, and make modifications to the routes before finalizing the sweeping schedule. Residential sweeping should not conflict with trash collection days. Staff expects to notify the area homeowners’ associations (HOAs) and update the City’s website (including revised route maps) once the finalized schedule is confirmed later this month.
