In response to increased coyote sightings, the City of Rancho Palos Verdes invites you to attend an informational meeting to introduce the Wildlife Watch program to our community. Wildlife Watch is an education-focused pilot program administered by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife that brings neighbors together to address the coyote problems in their neighborhood.
The meeting will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hesse Park, located at 29301 Hawthorne Blvd., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275.
Representatives from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife will provide information on coyotes, their behavior, and some things you can do to protect your property. You’ll also learn how you and your neighbors can start a Wildlife Watch program in your neighborhood.
If you have any questions, please contact Julie Peterson, Code Enforcement Officer with the City of Rancho Palos Verdes, at (310) 544-5299 or juliep@rpvca.gov. Additional information about living with coyotes is available on the City's website at the link below.
