The City and Sheriff's Department have negotiated a subsidy with Ring.com to provide residents with a discount on a doorbell camera, the original or Pro version, which are regularly $199 and $249 each, and a stick-up camera, which is regularly $199. Please note that the contract is currently being reviewed and once finalized residents will be notified.

The doorbell camera has intercom capability enabling a resident to respond audibly through their smartphone. The stick-up camera is typically used near other points of entry such as side gates, back doors, or sliding doors, and also has intercom capability enabling a resident to respond audibly through their smartphone.

Ring will provide a $50 subsidy on the Original Ring Doorbell camera and stick-up camera. For the Ring Doorbell Pro, Ring will provide a discount of $175. The device limit for Ring’s discount is three units per household. The City will add an additional incentive of $50 for one product per residence.

To be placed on the City's interest list please contact Administrative Analyst Jacqueline Ruiz at (310) 544-5305 or jruiz@rpvca.gov. Residents on the interest list will be notified first when the code is available to purchase products online from Ring.com.
