[ARCHIVED] Residential No-Burn Alert Issued for December 1st

The South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) has issued a Residential No-Burn Alert for Friday, December 1st. Residents are prohibited from burning wood or manufactured fire logs in indoor and outdoor residential wood-burning fireplaces and stoves due to elevated fine particulate levels forecast by the SCAQMD. A list of frequently-asked questions (FAQs) about “No-Burn Alerts” is available at http://www.aqmd.gov/healthyhearths/faq. Residents may sign-up to receive these alerts directly at http://aqmd.enviroflash.info/. Complaints about violations of "No-Burn Alerts" may be made to SCAQMD by calling (800) CUT-SMOG ((800) 288-7664) or may be filed on-line at http://www3.aqmd.gov/webappl/complaintsystemonline/NewComplaint.aspx.
