2020 Winter Holiday Closures
City Hall will be closed for winter holiday break from December 24 to January 1, and will reopen January 4. Emergencies should be reported by calling 9-1-1.
Building and Safety will provide limited building inspections on December 28 and 30. Inspection requests may be called in to 310-544-5279 or submitted electronically at bit.ly/2LTpzBz.
Construction is prohibited on December 25 and January 1 unless a Special Construction Permit is approved by the Director of Community Development. Special Construction Permits must be requested at least 48 hours before any such work is to begin. The permit application is available at bit.ly/3oVBLTv.

EDCO will not be collecting trash or recycling on Friday, December 25 or Friday, January 1. As a result, neighborhoods with regular collection on Fridays will be serviced on Saturday. Contact EDCO at 310-540-2977 for additional information.
Neighborhoods with scheduled street sweeping on the fourth Friday of the month (December 25) will be swept on Wednesday, December 30. Neighborhoods with scheduled street sweeping on the first Friday of the month (January 1) will be swept on Wednesday, January 6.
Staffed City parks (except for Abalone Cove Park) will be open on Christmas Day and New Year's Day for their regular posted hours. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, park buildings remain closed, though exterior restrooms are open.
