Fireworks are Illegal on the Peninsula


As Fourth of July approaches, the cities on the Palos Verdes Peninsula want everyone to enjoy a safe holiday. 
 
Fireworks are illegal and strictly prohibited on the Peninsula.  Fireworks pose a significant fire danger, cause injuries, scare pets and may trigger a response in those with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Respect your neighbors and obey the law. DO NOT light fireworks. 
 
Call the Lomita Sheriff’s Station to report fireworks in the cities of Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, and Rolling Hills Estates at 310-539-1661. Call the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department to report fireworks in Palos Verdes Estates at 310-378-4211.
