Clarification of Pilot Shuttle Program and ParkMobile Newsletter Article:
The City Summer Newsletter was recently mailed out to all City residences. The opening paragraph of a front page article about a Pilot Shuttle Program and an online parking reservation system at Del Cerro Park mistakenly implies that the shuttle program provides service on Crenshaw Blvd and Park Place. That is incorrect. The rest of the article correctly states the location of each program. The Parkmobile online reservation system will provide service at Park Place and Crenshaw Blvd. North of Crest Road, not the shuttle. The Pilot Shuttle program, which is being reviewed by the City Council on July 6 for a possible 90 day extension, is intended to reduce congestion in the Del Cerro area, but it does not provide service in that area. Since April 9, it has provided weekend service to Preserve visitors from its main location at City Hall to shuttle stops at PVIC, Abalone Cove and Lower Portuguese Bend Reserve.
The article also states that online parking reservations can be made a minimum of two hours in advance. Reservations must be made no later than 11:59pm the previous night.

ParkMobile to Launch July 6 for Del Cerro Park and Portuguese Bend Reserve
On July 6, the City of Rancho Palos Verdes will launch an online parking reservation system for Del Cerro Park and the popular Portuguese Bend Reserve. Visitors will be able to use the ParkMobile website or mobile app to reserve parking spaces on Crenshaw Boulevard south of Crest Road and on Park Place, near the Rattlesnake and Burma Road Trailheads.
The system is being implemented to manage parking and improve traffic flow in the Del Cerro Park area.
ParkMobile reservations will be required for all 60 spaces on Crenshaw Boulevard south of Crest Road and on Park Place.
