City Council Meeting Highlights

Last night, February 15, the City Council voted to move forward with terminating the Hatano Farm lease at Upper Point Vicente and directed staff to return with more information on how the City can preserve the farm as a historic site while allowing the current operator to potentially work on the farm in some capacity.

The Council also moved to strengthen the Municipal Code to ensure that hedges, new walls and new fences do not significantly impair views from the City’s roads.

Council additionally approved contracts that will allow the City to kick off the master planning pre-design and budget process to potentially redevelop the Civic Center site and approved a Portuguese Bend Area Landslide project manager.
