City Council Meeting Highlights

On April 5, the City Council voted to enter an agreement with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy to jointly purchase nearly 100 acres north of Palos Verdes Drive South to expand the Palos Verdes Nature Preserve. The City will contribute approximately $1.3 million toward the acquisition, which is expected to close by the end of June. The Council also authorized City staff to apply for $3.8 million in grant funding to help the City complete potential power line undergrounding projects for wildfire prevention and install an early wildfire detection camera system.
