New Traffic Signal at PV Drive South/PV Drive East to be Activated April 28

The new traffic signal at the intersection of Palos Verdes Drive South and Palos Verdes Drive East is scheduled to be turned on tomorrow, April 28, 2022, after approximately 8 a.m. Please expect delays in this area throughout the day as crews will be turning on the new traffic signal, adjusting programming, and installing crosswalk striping on the pavement.

The new signal is designed to maintain green lights for eastbound and westbound traffic along Palos Verdes Drive South, while turning red only to provide a green light for traffic exiting Palos Verdes Drive East or a green arrow for eastbound traffic to turn onto Palos Verdes Drive East from Palos Verdes Drive South when vehicles or bicycles are on Palos Verdes Drive East or in the eastbound turn lane. The City will be monitoring the signal in the coming weeks and months to make adjustments to the signal timing as is deemed appropriate.
