Brush Fire Along Palos Verdes Drive South Near Peppertree Drive

The L.A. County Fire Department is on scene of a 1-acre brush fire along Palos Verdes Drive South near Peppertree Drive in Portuguese Bend that was reported just before 12:30 p.m. Forward progress has been stopped and there are no structures threatened and no evacuations at this time. A helicopter will be deployed for approximately 30 minutes using the helipad at City Hall. The City is monitoring the situation and will continue to provide updates.
