City Council Meeting Highlights

Last night, the City Council approved the 2023 Legislative Platform, which outlines policy positions on current issues which directly or indirectly impact the City.

The Council authorized another round of the Public Safety Reimbursement Program, which provides subsidies to residents and homeowners associations for the purchase of security cameras. City staff will begin accepting applications in January. Stay tuned for program details.

The Council also directed City staff to research establishing a nonprofit foundation that would solicit donations to alleviate costs borne by the City to build new facilities, improve roads, support recreation programming, and other special projects. Councilmembers would serve as the foundation’s board members.
