City Council Meeting Highlights

Last night, the City Council approved not increasing fees for various City services for the next fiscal year.

The Council also voted to implement a two-year pilot program to create a new Community and Safety Services Division that utilizes in-house City staff to enhance public safety services to control, among other things, increases to the sheriff’s contract.

The Council decided against participating in the City of Rolling Hills’ proposed Peninsula-wide outdoor siren project at this time, opting to first focus on other emergency alerting technologies.
