Reminder: Use of Gas-Powered Leaf Blowers Prohibited

The use of gas-powered weed and debris blowers has been prohibited in all residential neighborhoods in RPV since January 1, 2019. 

Only standard electric-powered blowers — hand-held, corded, and cordless — are allowed. 

The City also prohibits any person from using a blower to blow cuttings, refuse, or debris onto a neighboring property or into a street, gutter, or drain. 

The City is not issuing citations for violations, but requesting voluntary compliance. 

The use of electric-powered blowers is permitted: 

• Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. 
• Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The use of electric-powered blowers is NOT permitted on Sundays or legal holidays.
