The Lomita Sheriff's Station produces a weekly crime report summary that includes information about reported crimes and arrests for the areas served by the Lomita Sheriff's Station, including the City of Rancho Palos Verdes.

Recently, the Lomita Sheriff’s Station changed its procedure for sharing crime reports with the cities it serves, removing certain details to safeguard privacy and sensitive investigative intelligence. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is committed to ensuring its data sharing practices are secure, responsible, and in line with the best interests of the community.

City Staff has added several weeks of crime reports from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department website to the City website that were not uploaded due to the transition. The interactive crime map on the City’s website will be updated over the next several weeks.
