City Council Meeting Highlights

Highlights from the April 1, 2025 City Council meeting:

• The Council received an update on a proposed Point Vicente Interpretive Center Museum Annex that would house the Palos Verdes Historical Society’s collection of artifacts.
• The Council took no action on the proposal. It is the City’s understanding that a major donor has withdrawn support, so there is no funding at this time. In addition, the National Park Service has raised questions about whether the proposed Annex would comply with deed restrictions over the site.
• The Council considered setting a base fee for seven future EV charging stations at Ladera Linda Community Park but opted first to have City staff explore upgrading infrastructure to support faster, Level III charging stations.
• The City received a $76,370 U.S. Department of Energy grant for the charging stations, which will be the first at any City-owned facility.
