Palos Verdes Drive East Traffic Study Discussion May 20

Reminder: Tomorrow night, May 20, 2025, the City Council will review a traffic study conducted along Palos Verdes Drive East from Crest Road to Palos Verdes Drive South, with a focus on Ganado Drive. 

Based on the study findings and recommendations from the Traffic Safety Committee, the Council will consider approving proposed traffic measures for several segments of the roadway. These include reducing the speed limit to 35 mph, replacing landscaping, installing bike lanes, and upgrading traffic signs and roadway markings. These measures would be revisited at least one year after they are implemented to assess their effectiveness and make potential changes, if needed. The Council will also consider prioritizing traffic law enforcement along Palos Verdes Drive East from Crest Road to Palos Verdes Drive South.
