Update: Tsunami Advisory Lifted

Update: 7-30-25 6 AM: The U.S. Tsunami Warning Center has lifted the Tsunami Advisory for the Los Angeles County coast. Although the advisory is no longer in effect, people should continue to use caution in or near the ocean.

As a reminder, in Rancho Palos Verdes, Abalone Cove Beach, Sacred Cove Beach, and all beach access trails in the Abalone Cove Reserve remain closed to the public due to impacts of accelerated land movement in the Portuguese Bend Landslide complex. Abalone Cove Park remains open for its regular hours from one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset.
