Last Chance: Apply for the RPV Leadership Academy by August 20

The Rancho Palos Verdes Leadership Academy (RPVLA) is an engaging five-session program that opens the doors of local government to the community. RPVLA provides participants with a behind-the-scenes look at the City of Rancho Palos Verdes' operations, including programs, services, departments, and facilities. It is designed for residents who want to learn about local government and play a more active role in our community.

The Fall 2025 Cohort will run from September 3-24. Most sessions will be held Wednesday evenings from 6-8 p.m., with one session taking place on a Saturday from 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Meals will be provided.

Wednesday, September 10, 2025, 6 p.m. at Point Vicente Interpretive Center
Saturday, September 13, 2025, 9:30 a.m. at Ken Dyda Civic Center, with transportation to Lomita Sheriff’s Station and Fire Station 53 (transportation provided)
Wednesday, September 17, 2025, 6 p.m. at Point Vicente Interpretive Center
Wednesday, September 24, 2025, 6 p.m. at Point Vicente Interpretive Center

Participant Requirements

Aged 14 years or older
Resident of Rancho Palos Verdes
Interested in engaging with the community through leadership
Attend at least four sessions to receive a Certificate of Completion signed by Mayor David Bradley and City Manager Ara Mihranian.

There are 25 openings, and pre-registration and acceptance are required. Take advantage of this opportunity to engage with learn about your local government from the people who operate it.
