City Council Meeting HighlightsHighlights from the October 7, 2025 City Council meeting: - City staff gave a status report on the Coyote Management Plan, which focuses primarily on encouraging and supporting coexistence with urban coyotes using education and behavior modification.
- So far in 2025, City staff has conducted 14 yard audits of private properties in an effort to address coyote activity, working closely with residents to identify and eliminate coyote attractants on their properties, such as fallen fruit, overgrown brush, inadequate fencing, and sources of water. No trapping has occurred in RPV this year.

- The Council received an update on wireless telecommunications facilities and efforts to improve cell service throughout the City.
- City staff has been working with wireless carriers and installers to advance existing projects, begin new ones, and identify potential changes to the municipal code that would result in improvements in service and reliability. Proposed code amendments are expected to be presented to the Council in six months.
- Finally, the Council initiated the process of updating the General Plan to reflect recently implemented development regulations prohibiting new residential development in the Portuguese Bend Landslide Complex.
