Sandbags Available for RPV Residents

Rain is coming. Need sandbags to protect your property against runoff?

The City of RPV provides empty sandbags and sand for residents to fill and make as needed.
 
Unfilled sandbags are located at the City Hall info desk and are available during regular business hours (7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday). There is a limit of 10 sandbags per household with valid ID or proof of residency. Fill sand is located at City Hall in a designated area for residents to use. Please bring your shovels and tools as they are not provided.

Please note that City Hall will be closed for winter holiday break starting December 24, 2025, and will reopen on January 5, 2026. Sandbags will not be available during the break. However, the fill sand area will remain open for residents who bring their own sandbags.

Rainy Weather Reminder

Our maintenance team is ready to respond to rain.

• Report debris, downed trees and branches to City Hall at 310-544-5252 or via the MyRPV app. 
• After business hours, call the Lomita Sheriff’s Station at 310-539-1661. 
• For emergencies, call 9-1-1. Check power outage status at sce.com/outage.
