The project consists of constructing a 6 foot wide bike lanes along both sides of Palos Verdes Drive South from Conqueror Drive to the east end of the landslide area by reducing the existing 20 feet median by approximately 3 feet on each side. The medians will be completed with low-growing drought-tolerant landscaping. The project is mainly funded by the Federal Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality(CMAQ) grant program with a City participation of twenty percent of the total project cost. The project is consistent with and adheres to the City's Conceptual Bikeways Plan.
