Notice of Availability

The City of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby gives notice that pursuant to the authority and criteria contained in the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the CEQA Guidelines, the City of Rancho Palos Verdes has prepared and completed the Final Environmental Impact Report for the proposed Long Point project.

The project applications consists of Coastal Permit Number 166, Conditional Use Permit Number 215, Tentative Parcel Map Number 26073, and Grading Permit Number 2229 on the York Long Point Associates owned Long Point property, and General Plan Amendment Number 28, Conditional Use Permit Number 216, and Grading Permit Number 2230 on the city owned Upper Point Vicente property.

The current Long Point Resort proposal involves a mix of uses including a public 9-hole golf course and practice facility, a 400 room hotel (including some bungalow units), 50 casitas with a maximum of 3 keys per unit, 32 single key resort villa units, a conference center, related commercial uses, restaurants, public trails and park areas, coastal access points and parking, and natural open space and habitat areas. The overall acreage of the proposed project is approximately 168.4 acres and includes the Long Point site (old Marineland site owned by York Long Point Associates) and a portion of Upper Point Vicente property (the areas surrounding the Rancho Palos Verdes city Hall buildings owned by the City of Rancho Palos Verdes).

Publication of the Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) for the Long Point Resort proposal consists of 4 separate volumes. Volumes I, II, III, and IV are currently available for public review at the following locations:
