Filming Activity on Monday, March 21, 2016

Please be aware that there is filming activity scheduled at Marymount California University (MCU) on Monday, March 21st. A TV commercial shoot will occur indoors at Cecilia Hall and The Commons between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM. There will be no exterior filming activity. Classes are not in session due to Spring Break. There are no stunts or special effects associated with this film shoot. The production base camp will be located at MCU, and production parking will not be permitted on surrounding neighborhood streets.

Filming Activity on Saturday, March 19 - Sunday, March 20, 2016

Please be aware that there is filming activity filming activity scheduled at Marymount California University (MCU) on Saturday, March 19th and Sunday, March 20th. A feature film shoot will occur indoors and outdoors on campus between 7:00 AM Saturday and 1:00 AM Sunday. There will be no exterior filming after 8:00 PM on Saturday. There are no stunts or special effects associated with this film shoot. The production base camp will be located at MCU, and production parking will not be permitted on surrounding neighborhood streets.

Filming Activity on Thursday, February 18, 2016

Please be aware that there is filming activity scheduled at Marymount California University (MCU) on Thursday, February 18, 2016. A still photo and video shoot will occur on campus between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, and will involve a total cast and crew of 40 persons. The production base camp will be located at MCU, and production parking will not be permitted on surrounding streets.

Filming Activity on December 12 - 17, 2015

Please be aware that there is filming activity scheduled at Marymount California University (MCU) and in the vicinity of Corsini Pl. on December 12th through 17th (excluding Sunday, December 13th). A short educational film will be shot in Cecilia Hall and The Commons at MCU on December 12th through 17th, and a scene will be filmed on a trail in Frascati Canyon Park (near Palos Verdes Dr. E. and Corsini Pl.) on December 17th only. The production base camp will be located at MCU, and production parking will not be permitted on surrounding streets. However, for the scene in Frascati Canyon Park, there will be a small amount of production parking permitted on Corsini Place. All filming activity will occur during the City's regular filming hours (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Mondays through Saturdays).

Street Parking Restrictions

On November 24, 2014, the Traffic Safety Commission will be considering a recommendation to the City Council to restrict on-street parking on various streets near Marymount California University. The meeting will be held at the City Hall Community Room, 30940 Hawthorne Boulevard, at 7:00 pm.

Filming Activity on March 22, 2014

Please be aware that there is filming activity scheduled at Marymount California University at 30800 Palos Verdes Drive East on Saturday, March 22nd between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM. The film shoot for a public service announcement for the non-profit American Parkinson Disease Association is scheduled to occur along the sidewalk and at the rose garden near the new East Parking Lot. However, production parking for this shoot will restricted to the westerly portion of the campus, away from nearby homes on San Ramon Drive and Vista del Mar (no filming activity is permitted to occur at the lower terrace of the East Parking Lot). The shoot will involve a cast and crew of 15 people. There will be no generator, special effects, stunts or smoking allowed in conjunction with this film shoot.

This is a non-profit production and all City fees have been waived pursuant to Section 9.16.030(B) of the Rancho Palos Verdes Municipal Code. Furthermore, conditions have been placed on the film permit to ensure compliance with the City's Municipal Code and the City Council-adopted Conditions of Approval for the Facilities Expansion Project (CUP Number 9-Revision 'E').
